In the ‘MyHealth’ platform, the therapist always starts with a questionnaire<\/strong> about eating habits and complaints that occur with digestion. These results are compared to the functioning of the neuro-hormonal system (stress) derived from the HMA and HRV analyses. Three major issues often occur at the beginning of digestion. The first problem is a lack of stomach acid<\/strong>, where the stomach wall can also be irritated if you take medications or antacids. The second problem is SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth<\/strong>). The bacteria then use the food intended for the body. The result is underweight. Antibiotics are often used for a quick result. We are not in favor of this and prefer to work in collaboration with dieticians on natural dietary advice. The third problem can be a nutrient deficiency (e.g. Magnesium, Zinc, Calcium, Iron and Vitamin B12) where the body does not produce enough bile acids and enzymes. The large intestine is responsible for the second part of digestion where food that cannot be broken down enzymatically<\/strong> is fermented<\/strong> by ‘good bacteria’, and water and salt are extracted to thicken the mush.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each person has a unique composition<\/strong> of microbes; but in scientific literature relationships can be found between certain complaints and the presence or absence of certain bacteria. Best known is the role of necessary lactic acid bacteria or bifidobacteria, which also prevent ‘bad’ bacteria from gaining the upper hand. But the presence of bacteria that keep the intestinal wall healthy (production of butyric acid), or bacteria that damage the cell wall (often putrefactive processes) also ultimately determine the health of the intestinal wall<\/strong> and whether digestion<\/strong> itself proceeds properly. When the intestinal wall itself becomes irritated or even \u201cleaky\u201d, inflammation and infections can occur, and allergies and intolerances occur. We also recommend always performing an HRV and HMA analysis<\/strong> in case of intestinal complaints. The degree of stress<\/strong> in the body, as well as possible deficiencies<\/strong>, provide a lot of insight into the source of the problems. Additional analyzes can then take place. These include, for example, the extensive intestinal check<\/strong> (general digestive parameters), a specific Zonulin test (checking ‘leaky gut’).
