Description
TriEnza provides digestive support for a broad range of foods. The unique blend of enzymes in TriEnza break down foods to help prevent occasional digestive discomfort from food intolerances.
The enzymes in TriEnza offer support for:
- Food proteins
- Gluten
- Casein in dairy
- Carbohydrates
- Sugars
- Lactose
- Polyphenolic vegetables and fruits
- Fats in foods and supplements
- Fiber
The changes recently made to TriEnza should result in a product better able to:
- Break down gluten, dairy casein, soy, and meat protein.
- Support digestion of the sugars sucrose and maltose, which will also be helpful for the gut microbiome.
- Help with occasional gas and bloating through fiber breakdown.
-
- Better support for protein digestion, including gluten and casein.
Protease is exchanged.
We exchanged one of the proteases, an enzyme for proteins, for a particular newer protease which is moreefficient for the breakdown of gluten, dairy casein, soy and other food proteins. This enzyme is listed as “Protease” on the TriEnza label.
DPP IV is reduced.
In order to add the new Protease, the amount of another enzyme for proteins, referred to as “Peptidase with DPP IV” is reduced. With the addition of the new Protease, the need for the DPP IV Peptidase enzyme is less.
We also believe that the DPP IV Peptidase may be an enzyme that some consumers cannot tolerate. We hope reducing the amount of this enzyme, without any loss of ability to break down proteins, will allow others to better tolerate TriEnza. - Improved enzyme breakdown for sugars.
Invertase is added.
We’ve added the enzyme Invertase to better break down table sugar, known as sucrose.
Diastase is added.
To help with another common sugar, maltose, TriEnza now has the enzyme Diastase on the label. Diastase works to break down the maltose that results from eating starches. - More support for gas and bloating from fiber.
Cellulase is increased.
Most gas and bloating from meals is actually due to the fiber present. To help with this issue, Cellulase is added. Cellulase can work on fiber along with the other two fiber enzymes already present in TriEnza (Xylanase and Beta-glucanase).
Fiber breakdown contributes to a healthy environment for gut bacteria. TriEnza can help reduce the amount of gas and bloating by making fiber more soluble (dissolvable in water) and digestible.
Alpha-galactosidase is removed.
TriEnza’s update includes removing the enzyme Alpha-galactosidase, which allowed for increasing the Cellulase. This enzyme is limited to working on two of the starches found in beans, cauliflower and broccoli. Other products with Alpha-galactosidase are readily available for consumers seeking that particular enzyme, such as ZyCarb or Zyme Prime.
- Better support for protein digestion, including gluten and casein.
TriEnza is the long-awaited enzyme product that combines the best of AFP-Peptizyde, Zyme Prime, and No-Fenol into one product!
Two (2) capsules or four (4) chewable tablets of TriEnza contain:
– all the protease enzymes for protein digestion from AFP-Peptizyde
– all the enzymes (except cellulase) from Zyme Prime
– 1/2 the enzymes from No-Fenol (xylanase) for certain fruits and vegetables high in phenols
– Now available in chewable tablet version with pineapple/tutti frutti natural flavor
In addition, no fillers are added to the capsule version. 1 mg of MCT oil is added per capsule as an excipient to prevent the enzyme powder from becoming air-born if capsule is opened. The oil also insures correct encapsulation weights during manufacturing. MCT oil is derived from coconut oil. Cellulase enzyme was not added to this product so you don’t have to worry about using TriEnza with time-released medications.
No more splitting capsules to get “half doses”. One capsule (one-half dose) makes starting enzymes easier.
Who should use TriEnza?
Anyone who uses any two of our current enzyme products (Peptizyde, AFP Peptizyde, Zyme Prime, HN-Zyme Prime, and No-Fenol) will most likely benefit from a cost-savings standpoint. If a customer is using 3 or more HNI enzyme products, a definite cost savings will be realized.
Contraindications for Enzyme Supplementation
These enzymes should be used with care in cases of active stomach or duodenal ulcers, severe bowel inflammation (characterized by blood in stools), hemophilia and other bleeding disorders, or within a week of scheduled surgery. This product may not be appropriate for those with known allergies to Aspergillus enzyme proteins, though non-specific mold allergies do not necessarily preclude use of fungal enzymes. Consult your medical doctor for further advice, and err on the side of caution. Those with known anaphylactic allergic reactions to fungal proteins should NOT ingest fungal-derived enzymes.
TriEnza is still our best broad-spectrum enzyme product for protein, gluten, dairy, starches, carbohydrates, fats, fiber, and polyphenolic foods.
