For special reasons our Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis is the best that can be obtained nowadays. We use one of the laboratories that do not wash the hair samples for analysis. We learned that this water-soluble elements can be washed away into and out of the hair. As a result, inaccurate results are obtained. In 2001, a publication appeared in the Journal of the AMA (Seidel, S. et al, Assessment of Commercial Laboratories Performing Hair Mineral Analysis, JAMA, 285 (1) Jan. 3: 67-72.). The two laboratories that did not wash the hair samples showed the best results in the comparative test.

Our laboratory uses quality procedures. These include the use of checks at the start, during the analysis and at the end of the analysis. The laboratory performs a second analysis of the hair sample if analysis results are obtained which are not expected, and values are found that are beyond the normal range. It is therefore important that sufficient material submitted.

How do we report

Mineral levels and ratios as determined for each individual are measured against an ‘ideal’ standard of health, rather than an ‘average’ standard as used by other laboratories. This renders our results more sensitive and meaningful to those people who aspire to optimum levels of health.
We work with precise mineral levels and ratios rather than with the broad ranges employed by the majority of professionals engaged in hair analysis. As a result, we identify even slight deviations from ‘ideal’ values responsible for some disorders which would escape detection by other labs.
Our tests recognize biochemical individuality through determination of three basic oxidation types, thus providing a sound basis for an accurate and specific selection of nutrients based on the individual’s metabolism. Detrimental health effects arising from mismatching of nutrients with individual metabolism are therefore avoided.

We report our results in mg% (milligrams percent) or milligrams per 100 grams of hair. This means that 100 grams of hair would contain the reported number of milligrams of the minerals listed. Some possible equivalent ways these units might be referred to are milligrams percent and milligram per deciliter.
Another method of reporting test results (sometimes used by other laboratories) is ppm(parts per million). To convert ppm to mg% one would divide the results reported in ppm by 10. For example, 500 ppm/10 equals 50 mg%. To convert our results to parts per million; simply multiply our result by 10.

We provide the mineral analysis with the associated extensive personalized interpretation of 28-38 pages representing the major mineral levels, and the ratio’s displayed. This information includes an explanation of the metabolic rate, energy levels, sugar and carbohydrate sensitivity, immune, adrenal and thyroid status, metabolic trends and basic diet advice. The report also shows the possible personality traits, based on specific mineral profiles. In addition, the report contains can make a recommendation for the use of specially developed supplements that metabolic processes in the body back into balance.

De HTMA analysis for Professionals can be ordered by therapists when they are registered on this site as Health Professional. This version contains a full detailed explanation of the analysis and advice. Please contact us for more information and to get access to the product in the webshop.

The HTMA analysis can also be ordered by consumers who like to know more about their health status and vitality, and are not visiting a therapist or a doctor. The report will be available and can be downloaded from your account. We will explain to you the outcome of the analysis in a video call for free. If you would like to visit a specialized therapist or doctor after this explanation, we are happy to redirect you to one of our experts in our network.

HTMA for animals

Sometimes we receive requests for a HTMA on animals. This is possible, but please realize, we only will report the data as such, as an interpretation as done for humans is not possible. The outcome only serves as a means to have an idea about the mineral and heavy metal concentrations in the animal. Please contact us by email if you have an interest in performing an HTMA for animals.

You can send the animal hair sample in a sealed envelop to us with the following form included:

Convert your Trace Elements report into our Biocoherence HTMA report

We are contacted on regular basis by people who are not satisfied with the HTMA report when the analysis is carried out by Trace Elements laboratories. The HTMA report obtained from Trace Elements laboratory does not contain the information they are looking for. The report lacks the proper explanation of the ratio’s found and an in depth description of the possible health risks. If you provide us with your data, we will produce a high quality report for you with a proper individualized health insight. The costs for this conversion are € 10,00 ex VAT. Reports from Doctor’s Data are not suitable for a conversion, as the analysis method used can not be compared with our analysis.
