For the determination of intracellular infections, Biocoherence collaborates with an advanced laboratory that has developed a new combined analytical approach: The in situ use of fluorescently labeled DNA probes and morphometry. This approach is patented and appears to work very well in practice. What is unique is that in addition to the presence of the disease agent, the so-called metabolic activity is also displayed. When the activity is 0% it means that the pathogen is inactive, at 100% the pathogen is very active. For example, the result looks like this:
In this way it is possible to take an important diagnostic step in the determination of intracellular infections. But it also creates the opportunity to objectively monitor the effect of an intervention aimed at the elimination of intracellular pathogens. This can be in terms of both the extent of the infection and the activity of the pathogen.
